A Workplace is Restructured
STC went through several restructurings over the years, but good
records were not kept of how pay equity was dealt with at the time
and/or maintained after the changes occurred.
Keeping track of changes
For this reason, STC and its employees decided to formalize a
process to maintain pay equity. A Pay Equity Maintenance Program was created
to ensure that changes to jobs, the environment or shifts in the
organizational structure impacting on pay equity would be dealt with in
a timely manner.
