  2.   Can you help Darla calculate the amount to distribute?  

Darla just started working as the pay administrator in a public sector organization that provides services to new immigrants. The organization did a proxy pay equity plan, has not yet achieved pay equity and is still implementing adjustments at 1% per year. Darla wants to continue the implementation correctly. Can you help Darla calculate the amount to distribute?

Darla should take at least 1% of the total gross amount paid to employees in the previous year.
Darla should take at least 1% of the net amount paid to employees in the previous year (gross minus deductions).
Darla should take at least 1% of the total cost of all salaries and all benefits for the previous year.
Darla should take at least 1% of each person’s gross pay for the previous year and pay that amount to each person.
