  8.   Does pay equity have to be maintained?  

Susan knows her company did pay equity in 1992. She was even on the original Pay Equity Committee. Pay adjustments required were minimal and the company achieved pay equity in 1993. Susan hasn’t heard anything about pay equity since adjustments were made in 1993. Does pay equity have to be maintained?

No. Employers had specific deadlines for implementing pay equity. This was a one-time exercise.
Yes. Pay equity must be maintained. If a pay equity plan is not maintained any changes in the workplace may result in retroactive adjustments.
No. Employers were required to do pay equity once. They are required to keep all information pertaining to pay equity in the event of a complaint.
It depends on the size of the employer. Some employers are required to maintain while others are not.
